Fantasy Date Night with a Celebrity

Sgt. Scott Moore, a Marine serving in Afghanistan, asked Mila Kunis to the Marine Corps. Ball via YouTube, and she agreed to go.

How awesome is that?

So of course, I have to ask the next logical question: Who would you ask to the Ball?  (After your significant other, of course.)

My knee-jerk reaction is Johnny Depp.  And it sounds like something he would do.  The problem there is that Johnny Depp is so freaking famous.  How much time would I actually be able to spend with him?  And would he enjoy himself?  It doesn't sound like his sort of "thing."  I'd rather go to a concert or casual party or something like that with Johnny Depp.

It would make more sense to turn my focus to the three celebrities I'm all fan-girly on: Neil Gaiman, Gideon Emery, or John Barrowman.

I would rather do something more quiet with Neil Gaiman where I'd be more able to soak up his genius.  Dinner, a meeting at a nice quiet cafe, or a simple shopping spree at a bookstore.  Possibly preceded by a movie, it would be great to get Neil Gaiman's opinion on a movie we'd just seen together.

Gideon Emery doesn't seem like the Ball-going sort either.  He'd be a good dinner and a movie date too.  Or something outdoorsy, I have a feeling he'd be fun to bike and hike or something like that with.  Sometimes I get urges to do something silly and youthful, like play at a playground or mini-golf, and he seems like the type that would go for a little impromptu frivolity.

Which leaves John Barrowman, and when it comes to going to the Ball, he'd be my choice.  First of all, from what I've seen, he'd have fun and make sure I had fun too.  It probably helps that he'd wear a kilt.  So what if he's gay, it's not like anything would happen anyway.  I'd just be able to have a good time with a hot date.

So, who's your celebrity date to the ball?

Hmmm... I would go first with Johnny... and then with Ben from the latest Bachelorette.  Yea yea I know, horrible show... that is what makes it fun.  :)  And Ben?  (konk!)  (that was me passing out)
