At any rate, the dream I had last night:
I was browsing YouTube and saw that Gideon Emery had a new video up. The description said it was copyrighted, so it would only be up for a short time. It was a clip of a film he had done a couple years ago, but wasn't released yet. From here, there were links to a couple other clips from the same film.
I gathered that the film was about a stage troupe and some sort of final kickoff performance. The cast was in the audience watching their own play, and would leave the audience and come up to the stage for their scenes.
First, a woman was singing a solo very beautifully. Her name was Sally. Gid's character, either in the film or the play, was in love with her.
Then his character takes the stage. He's dressed in a black suit with a red shirt, but he's taken the jacket off. He rolls up his sleeves and plays the piano, first for a group song, then for his own solo. Of course, his voice is enthralling (just like in real life).
The next clip from the movie was him accepting an award on behalf of the troupe. For some reason, he's shirtless. I wasn't complaining.
Then, instead of being at my computer watching the clips, I'm on a couch watching the movie on an HDTV. Although it's not his house, Gid's there, and his his movie, TV, etc. The movie is actually on some sort of game cartridge instead of a DVD, and it's playing from the gaming system. He asks me if I want to keep watching this movie or watch another. I say it's up to him. Although I was rather enjoying the movie, as long as he's in it, I'd be happy to watch another.
At that point Brian walks in and joins me on the couch. I was very happy that he was there, and snuggle up close to him. Gid leaves the room for a minute, and I take the opportunity to get a bit closer to Brian. But Gid comes back before I realized it and catches us, although I'm not too disappointed. I don't mind people knowing how much I love my husband.
Then Gid asks me to put the next movie in. It's a Highlander sequel that he was in, and this one is on an actual DVD that I put in the DVD player. I got excited, because I know Brian likes Highlander so he'll be interested in watching it too.
We all settle back on the couch, which is a blue-gray-green and a velvety-like material, to watch the movie.
So although I have yet to meet Gideon Emery (someday, someday.), in all my dreams he's very kind and accommodating. I think he probably is in real life too.
