Right now I'm at Starbucks eating oatmeal for supper, writing, and watching this guy teach a girl (his girlfriend?) how to play Magic, The Gathering. It's actually pretty cute. He's kind of cute (for a high school kid?), and she's got to have a crush on him. Ah, geek love, it takes me back.
At any rate, I did dream last night during the few hours that I slept. After the events of the day, I can't remember most of it, but there is one part that sticks out.
Brian and I were sleeping on the floor with George, Miranda, and Andora. Andora was fussing, so I tried nursing her, but of course nothing came out because I hadn't had a baby. When I gave her back to Miranda, another baby appeared. It had been abandoned. I told Miranda that if she didn't want to take care of it, I would adopt it.How's that for maternal instincts?
She tried taking care of it, but it was really quiet and Andora was a little bit fussy. I started to get worried that the other baby was too quiet, so I took over. I tried feeding it, but the baby was this little mechanical thing, and the nozzle that attached to a metal rod to feed it through had come off. I found the nozzle and started feeding it with a bottle, and the baby got better.
Well, back to writing. I need to get in at least another 1000 words tonight.
